We read and discuss books from the Book Discussion Scheme (BDS)

Urban Explorers is a walking group with a difference. We will explore the city and its surrounds and learn more about the history of each area, its hidden gems - the parks and reserves, and enjoy our environment. There will be a convivial coffee at some stage. No hill walks are planned.

We meet at 1.30pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

We are a social group with a more relaxed view of the rules and the use of dictionaries than you would find at a formal club. We can happily accommodate new players who want to try a different way of keeping the brain active. Scrabble can be played with 2, 3 or 4 people at each table so we can accommodate varying numbers - you don’t need to commit to coming to every session. 

If we get to the happy position of 12 or more players turning up, we may have to rethink the venue - I would be running out of chairs and tables!

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 10:00 to discuss the unit for that month.
